TVWD provides drinking water to a growing region in Washington County, Oregon, nestled within the Portland Metropolitan area. TVWD provides more than 21 million gallons of water per day to about 217,000 customers. In addition to serving residential customers, TVWD serves high profile employers such as Intel and Nike. The Engineering Division maintains the pipelines, valves, pump stations, and reservoirs that are all integral for supplying safe water.

The Engineering Division hires CECOP interns to help on a variety of tasks to help improve and maintain the District's water system. Types of projects can include project planning, pipeline replacement design assistance, booster pump station analysis and design, engineering support for operations, project inspections, and miscellaneous other tasks.
